Anti-AIF1 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised against allograft inflammatory factor 1 (AIF1), also known as Iba1, a 17 kDa calcium-binding EF-hand protein that is constitutively expressed in the monocyte–macrophage lineage and strongly upregulated in activated microglia. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, this primary antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of neuroinflammation, microglial activation, and macrophage infiltration in fixed tissue sections and protein lysates.

Because the reagent is supplied unconjugated, it pairs flexibly with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-labelled secondary antibodies chosen by the end user. In neuroscience workflows it is used to resolve ramified and amoeboid microglial morphologies in brain sections, while in transplant immunology it helps track host macrophage infiltration of grafts, and in inflammatory disease models it highlights mononuclear phagocytes in gut, vascular, and joint tissues.
