This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), a ligand-activated transcription factor central to xenobiotic sensing, dioxin signalling, and immune cell differentiation. Raised against an epitope spanning residue K32 of the human protein, the Antibodies.com reagent also recognises the mouse and rat orthologs, supporting comparative work in rodent toxicology, barrier-immunity, and hepatic models alongside human tissue studies.

The antibody is supplied as 50 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 15 mM sodium azide (approx. pH 7.2) and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed sections. Researchers routinely apply it to track AhR induction by tryptophan metabolites, pollutant ligands such as TCDD, or inflammatory cues in cultured cells and tissue samples. For routine handling, keep the stock refrigerated, prepare small working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect the vial from light to preserve the azide-stabilised formulation.
