AHCY (Adenosylhomocysteinase), also known as SAH hydrolase, is the enzyme that catalyses the reversible hydrolysis of S-adenosylhomocysteine to adenosine and homocysteine, a key step controlling cellular methylation potential and the methionine cycle. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the human AHCY protein and cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologues, supporting translational studies across standard model systems.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a formulation that stabilises the antibody for storage at -20 °C and resists freeze-thaw damage during repeated use. It is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing detection of endogenous AHCY in whole-cell lysates, tissue sections, and disease models linked to methylation imbalance, homocysteine accumulation, and one-carbon metabolism research.

Each vial ships with lot-specific validation data from Antibodies.com, including recommended starting dilutions for chromogenic and fluorescence-based detection. For research use only.
