The Aryl hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) is a ligand-activated transcription factor of the basic helix-loop-helix PAS family that senses planar aromatic hydrocarbons such as TCDD and induces detoxifying enzymes including CYP1A1. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the endogenous receptor and validated across Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows.

Reactivity is confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative toxicology, dioxin response studies, and investigations of AhR signaling in immune, epithelial, and barrier tissues. Because the reagent is supplied as a polyclonal Ig fraction rather than a clone-defined monoclonal, it tolerates minor sequence variation between orthologs and provides broader epitope coverage for detection of native, denatured, and fixed receptor pools.

The antiserum is supplied as a 100 µl vial of unconjugated antibody, allowing flexible secondary antibody selection, dilution titration, and adaptation to multiplex immunofluorescence panels or chromogenic IHC protocols in research use only applications.
