Raised in rabbit against amylo-alpha-1,6-glucosidase 4-alpha-glucanotransferase (AGL), this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for western blot detection of the glycogen debranching enzyme in human and mouse samples. AGL catalyses removal of alpha-1,6-linked glucose branch points during cytosolic glycogenolysis, and the reagent targets the protein expressed in liver, skeletal muscle, heart, and other glycogen-metabolising tissues. Investigators working on glycogen metabolism, lysosomal glycogen catabolism, or Glycogen Storage Disease Type III (Cori and Forbes disease), caused by autosomal recessive loss-of-function mutations in AGL, apply this antibody to assess AGL protein levels by immunoblotting of whole-cell and tissue lysates. The IgG polyclonal antiserum is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot, unconjugated and compatible with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary detection reagents. For research use only.
