Anti-AGA Antibody

AGA catalyzes the cleavage of N-acetylglucosamine-asparagine linkages generated during the cytosolic breakdown of N-linked glycoproteins, a step required for the orderly turnover of cellular glycoproteins inside the lysosome. Loss-of-function variants in the AGA gene underlie aspartylglucosaminuria, a lysosomal storage disorder characterized by progressive intellectual decline, coarse facial features, skeletal abnormalities, and connective-tissue changes. Antibodies that selectively detect endogenous AGA therefore support research in lysosomal proteostasis, glycoprotein catabolism, and cellular disease modeling.

Provided as an unconjugated polyclonal antiserum from a rabbit host, the reagent can be paired with the secondary antibody of choice for chemiluminescent Western blot detection or indirect immunofluorescence imaging.
