Aspartylglucosaminidase (AGA) is a lysosomal hydrolase responsible for cleaving the N-acetylglucosamine–asparagine linkage during the final stages of N-linked glycoprotein catabolism. Loss-of-function mutations in AGA cause aspartylglucosaminuria (AGU), a rare lysosomal storage disorder characterized by progressive neurodegeneration, coarse facial features, and skeletal abnormalities. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against the AGA protein and is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated antiserum validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications on human and mouse specimens. The polyclonal composition enables recognition of multiple epitopes along the AGA sequence, supporting consistent signal when probing low-abundance lysosomal extracts or characterizing patient-derived fibroblasts. Typical use cases include expression profiling of AGA in neuroblastoma and hepatic lysates, subcellular colocalization studies with lysosomal-associated membrane protein 1 (LAMP1) and cathepsin markers, and validation of CRISPR-engineered knockout cell lines used to model AGU pathology. Aliquoting upon first use is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and preserve long-term antibody reactivity.
