Anti-AFX (Phospho-Ser197) Antibody

This primary antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against AFX phosphorylated at serine 197. It is unconjugated, of the IgG isotype, and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

The antibody has been validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF). It is supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

It was generated by immunising rabbits with a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to the sequence around the phosphorylation site serine 197 (A-A-S(p)-M-D) of human AFX, and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific phosphopeptide, with non-phospho-specific antibodies removed by chromatography against the non-phosphopeptide. The reagent detects endogenous AFX only when phosphorylated at serine 197. It is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
