Anti-AFX (Ab-197) Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against the AFX protein and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in unconjugated form. The antibody was generated by immunising rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 195–199 (A-A-S-M-D) of human AFX, then purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific peptide. It belongs to the IgG isotype class and is validated for Western blotting (recommended dilution 1:500–1:1000) and immunohistochemistry (1:50–1:100), making it a useful tool for detecting endogenous levels of total AFX protein in human, mouse, and rat samples. The buffer formulation is phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), supplemented with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide as preservative, and 50% glycerol for cryoprotection. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
