Rabbit polyclonal antiserum raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near residue 197 of human AFX (FOXO4), a forkhead-box transcription factor implicated in oxidative-stress responses, cell-cycle progression, and the transcriptional regulation of pro-apoptotic target genes. This Antibodies.com reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum and is validated for Western blot (WB) on whole-cell lysates and for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue. The antibody cross-reacts with the AFX orthologue expressed in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species experimental designs that range from primary cultured cells to tumor xenograft sections and normal rodent tissue panels. As a polyclonal reagent directed at a defined internal epitope, it is well suited to track endogenous AFX protein levels across treatment conditions, complementing reporter-based readouts of forkhead-box transcriptional activity. Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody stock, and brief refrigerated handling at 4 °C is appropriate for short-term bench workflows.
