Anti-AFP Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and is intended for the detection of endogenous AFP protein in human samples. The immunogen corresponds to a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human AFP, and the antibody is purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen. It is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA, and 0.02% sodium azide, at a concentration of 1 mg/mL, and is unconjugated. Validated applications include Western Blot (WB) and ELISA, and reactivity has been confirmed for human specimens. For handling, the product is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve performance.
