Anti-AFF2 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal primary antibody targets AFF2 (AF4/FMR2 family member 2), a nuclear transcriptional regulator encoded on the long arm of the X chromosome. Expansion of a CCG trinucleotide repeat in the AFF2 5' UTR and loss-of-function mutations are linked to FRAXE intellectual disability, making the protein a recurring subject in neurogenetics and synaptic-plasticity research. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples, and the 100 µl aliquot is supplied unconjugated so it can be paired with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-coupled secondary reagents to fit chromogenic, immunofluorescence, or chemiluminescence workflows. Endogenous AFF2 expression has been confirmed in neuronal and non-neuronal cell lines, supporting studies of RNA polymerase II regulation, splicing, and chromatin association.
