A reagent for research into adiponectin receptor biology and adiponectin signaling pathways, this rabbit-derived polyclonal IgG antibody recognizes ADIPOR2 in human and mouse tissue specimens. The unconjugated primary antibody is validated for immunohistochemistry and supplied by Antibodies.com in a 100 µl vial, allowing investigators flexibility to pair it with enzyme- or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents of their choice.
ADIPOR2 is the receptor that mediates adiponectin-driven activation of AMPK and PPAR-alpha pathways involved in fatty acid oxidation, glucose uptake, and hepatic lipid metabolism, making the antibody relevant for studies on obesity, type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and cardiovascular research. For slide-based localization of ADIPOR2 expression in liver, skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, and other target tissues, refrigerated storage preserves reagent activity between experimental sessions.
