This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes Adducin α phosphorylated at threonine 445 (phospho-T445), a regulatory site on the cytoskeletal protein ADD1. Adducin α caps the fast-growing ends of actin filaments and bundles spectrin with F-actin at the lateral plasma membrane, and phosphorylation by protein kinase C at this residue modulates its actin-binding activity and downstream cytoskeletal remodeling linked to cell shape change and motility.

The reagent is provided as an unconjugated polyclonal antiserum at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH ~7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative. It is supplied in a 100 µl vial format and intended for research use only.

Validated applications include Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of cytoskeletal dynamics, membrane skeleton organization, and PKC-mediated signaling in contexts such as cell adhesion, ion transport regulation, and hypertensive or vascular biology models.
