The ADCK4 protein, also known as COQ8B, is a mitochondrial putative kinase required for coenzyme Q10 biosynthesis. Pathogenic variants in this gene cause steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome and CoQ10 deficiency, making it a focus of renal disease and mitochondrial biology research. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous human ADCK4 in Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows, supporting studies of podocyte biology, oxidative phosphorylation, and the coenzyme Q biosynthesis pathway.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum raised in rabbit and is reactive specifically with human samples. Store aliquots at -20 °C to preserve activity; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by preparing single-use aliquots upon receipt. For Western blot, it recognizes a band in the expected molecular weight range for ADCK4, and for immunofluorescence on fixed cells, it produces mitochondrial staining consistent with the inner membrane localization of COQ8B.

Researchers studying focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), CoQ10 biosynthesis defects, and inherited renal disease mechanisms rely on this reagent for target validation and pathway analysis. Each vial is intended for research use only and supports reproducible detection across denaturing gel electrophoresis workflows.
