Anti-ADAM23 Antibody

The target ADAM23 is a brain-enriched member of the ADAM (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase) family that contributes to neuronal adhesion and synapse organization. Loss-of-function variants in the gene have been linked to autosomal recessive epilepsy, and promoter methylation studies have implicated ADAM23 silencing in glioma biology, placing the protein at the intersection of neurobiology and oncology research.

This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against ADAM23, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples. It is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at pH 7.2, and can be diluted directly into standard blocking buffers for membrane or tissue workflows.

For short-term use, store refrigerated at 4 °C; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity.
