Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is a key enzyme in purine metabolism that catalyzes the deamination of adenosine and 2'-deoxyadenosine. Loss of ADA activity causes severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), and elevated ADA levels in body fluids are clinically evaluated as a marker for tuberculous pericarditis and pleural effusions. This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ADA and is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl vial, validated for western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.
