Anti-Actived-Caspase-3 p17 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com, this antibody binds the cleaved, catalytically active p17 subunit of caspase-3, a central executioner protease in apoptotic signaling pathways. Raised against the p17 fragment generated after cleavage at Asp175, the unconjugated antibody recognizes both full-length pro-caspase-3 (~32-35 kDa) and the active large subunit (~17 kDa) in human, mouse, and rat samples.

Supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is packaged as 100 µl per vial. Validated applications include Western blot for monitoring caspase activation time courses and apoptosis progression, and immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue sections to localize apoptotic cells in situ.

The sodium azide preservative should be considered for downstream live-cell or conjugation workflows that require its removal prior to use.
