Anti-ACTB Antibody [Assigned #AC004]

Beta-actin (ACTB) is a ~42 kDa cytoskeletal protein expressed ubiquitously in eukaryotic cells and routinely used as a loading control in protein analysis workflows. This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com, clone AC004, specifically detects ACTB in human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.

Provided as 50 µl of IgG, the reagent is supplied at a working concentration suitable for direct labeling or secondary antibody detection. In Western blot, the antibody recognizes a single band at approximately 42 kDa, providing a reliable internal reference alongside the protein of interest. In IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, it produces strong cytoplasmic staining; in IF on cultured cells, it reveals the filamentous actin network and cell morphology landmarks.

Recommended storage is at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; refrigerated short-term storage is acceptable. For research use only.
