This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody targets Acrp30, also called adiponectin, a 30 kDa adipokine hormone secreted predominantly by white adipose tissue that regulates glucose uptake, fatty acid oxidation, and insulin sensitivity through the AdipoR1 and AdipoR2 receptors. Supplied as a 100 µl volume of liquid, the reagent is validated for western blot and ELISA workflows and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative metabolic studies between rodent disease models and human clinical specimens.

Acrp30 circulates as a full-length protein and as characteristic trimeric, hexameric, and high-molecular-weight multimeric complexes whose relative ratios are studied as biomarkers for obesity, type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and cardiovascular risk. The polyclonal nature of this antibody allows recognition of multiple epitopes across the globular head and collagenous tail of the molecule, supporting immunoblot detection of the mature monomer near 30 kDa and the higher-order assemblies in conditioned cell culture media, tissue lysates, and transgenic mouse model samples.

Keep the vial refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by working from small aliquots; for short bench use the antibody can be kept on ice and protected from light. Provided as a research-use-only reagent by Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is intended for laboratories investigating adipokine biology, adipocyte differentiation pathways, and the inflammatory crosstalk that links adipose tissue dysfunction to systemic metabolic disease.
