Acrp30, widely known in metabolic research as adiponectin, is a 30 kDa adipokine secreted by white adipose tissue and involved in insulin sensitivity, hepatic gluconeogenesis, and fatty acid catabolism.

The reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against this target and supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated format supports flexible labeling with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore reporters depending on the downstream detection chemistry.

Validation has been performed for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing the reagent to be applied across metabolic, cardiovascular, and inflammation-focused research models.

Because adiponectin circulates as a homotrimer that assembles into higher-order multimeric complexes, the polyclonal reagent can recognize epitopes distributed across both the collagen-like stalk and the C-terminal globular domain.

Storage at -20 °C is recommended for the glycerol-containing stock to preserve activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles; refrigerated handling at 4 °C is appropriate for short-term working aliquots.
