Anti-ACP Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this 100 µl antibody binds acid phosphatase (ACP) for western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples.

Researchers investigating lysosomal acid phosphatase activity, prostate acid phosphatase expression, or lysosome-related signaling pathways use the antibody to detect endogenous ACP bands on PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes and to localize ACP signal in fixed cells by IF.

The reagent is specific to human ACP, with reactivity confirmed for human samples. Because the host species is rabbit, secondary antibodies raised against rabbit IgG (HRP, Alexa Fluor, or biotin conjugates, chosen by the user's detection chemistry) provide flexible downstream readout.

The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the ACP target, which can help when probing conserved regions across acid phosphatase isoforms or when sample antigen is partially denatured. Storage should be refrigerated; aliquot upon first thaw to preserve antibody activity across multiple experiments and protect from light when working with fluorophore-conjugated secondaries.
