ACIN1 (apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer in the nucleus, also designated Acinus, ACN, fSAP152, or KIAA0670) is a nuclear protein best known as a caspase-3 substrate whose proteolytic cleavage contributes to chromatin condensation during programmed cell death, while the full-length protein also acts as a component of the ASAP spliceosome-associated complex that influences pre-mRNA splicing and exon junction complex assembly. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com was affinity-purified against ACIN1 and is supplied as a 100 µL liquid vial that covers multiple Western blot experiments at standard working dilutions. The reagent is validated for cross-species detection in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, enabling comparative studies of apoptotic and splicing-related ACIN1 signalling in cultured cell lines, primary tissue models, and rodent disease models.

For Western blot the antibody is used at 1 µg/mL, generating a major band near 220 kDa in whole-cell lysates such as K562, where the AcinusL isoform migrates at the predicted high molecular weight and the AcinusS/AcinusS' alternatively spliced forms appear around 80 to 85 kDa. The polyclonal, unconjugated format offers broad epitope coverage, useful when probing truncated or caspase-processed ACIN1 fragments, and pairs freely with HRP-labelled or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies to match common Western blot detection chemistries. The vial is shipped refrigerated; for longer-term use it should be stored at -20 degrees C with the reagent aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles that degrade IgG preparations, and it is intended for research use only.
