From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets human Acid-sensing ion channel 3 (ASIC3), a proton-gated cation channel belonging to the DEG/ENaC superfamily of degenerin and epithelial sodium channels. Predominantly expressed in sensory neurons of the dorsal root and trigeminal ganglia, ASIC3 has been linked to nociception, mechanosensation, and the detection of tissue acidosis that arises during inflammation and ischemic injury.

Supplied as a 100 µg vial of unconjugated polyclonal IgG raised in rabbit, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The unconjugated format allows pairing with HRP, fluorescent, or biotin detection systems chosen by the user, and as a polyclonal reagent it targets multiple epitopes on the channel protein, supporting detection across denatured gel samples and fixed tissue sections.

Common research uses include mapping ASIC3 distribution in peripheral sensory neurons, profiling changes in channel expression in chronic and inflammatory pain models, and characterizing acid-evoked responses in neuronal tissue. Researchers are advised to consult the product data sheet for recommended starting dilutions for their specific sample preparation and to include appropriate positive controls from neuronal tissue.
