AChRα1, the alpha-1 subunit of the muscle-type nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, assembles at the neuromuscular junction with beta-1, delta, and either epsilon or gamma subunits to form the ligand-gated ion channel responsible for depolarizing skeletal muscle in response to acetylcholine. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against AChRα1, supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µL aliquot for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Validated reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of receptor localization in skeletal muscle, investigation of congenital myasthenic syndromes linked to CHRNA1 mutations, and characterization of fetal AChR expression in transient neonatal myasthenia and arthrogryposis multiplex congenita research.
