Anti-ACE (F940) Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the F940 epitope region of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The 100 µl volume is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples.

ACE is a zinc-dependent metallopeptidase anchored in the plasma membrane of endothelial, epithelial, and neuroepithelial cells. It converts angiotensin I into the potent vasoconstrictor angiotensin II and inactivates bradykinin, placing it at a central node in renin-angiotensin system signaling, blood pressure regulation, and vascular, cardiac, and renal research.

Targeting the F940 region supports detection of the full-length somatic ACE isoform across multiple species, and the polyclonal format allows recognition of several determinants on the same target, which is useful when working with denatured lysates in WB or fixed tissue sections in IHC.
