Anti-ACAT2 Antibody

Affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal antibody directed against ACAT2 (Acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase). The unconjugated IgG reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com as a liquid of lot-specific concentration, reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.

It was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 150–250 of human ACAT2 (NP_005882.2), and the target protein migrates at 41 kDa. Recommended working dilutions are 1:500–1:2,000 for Western blot and 1:50–1:200 for both immunohistochemistry and ICC/IF. The product is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal.

The antibody is shipped at 4°C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at −20°C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided. ACAT2 itself is a metabolic enzyme enriched in liver and localised to the nucleoplasm and cytosol.
