ACADVL (Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase, Very Long Chain) is a mitochondrial inner-membrane enzyme that catalyzes the first step of fatty acid beta-oxidation, acting on substrates with chain lengths of 14 to 20 carbons. This polyclonal antibody, raised in rabbit, is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl vial, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples.

Investigators working on inherited metabolic disorders such as Very Long-Chain Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase (VLCAD) deficiency, mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation defects, and the associated hepatic, cardiac, and skeletal-muscle phenotypes use ACADVL-specific detection to map expression patterns, confirm patient-derived fibroblast or biopsy findings, and verify CRISPR or siRNA knockout and knockdown models. The reagent recognizes the human ACADVL protein, supporting visualization of the approximately 70 kDa target in cell lysates and in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.

Supplied as a ready-to-use polyclonal reagent without a fluorophore or enzyme conjugate, the antibody integrates into standard immunoblotting membranes, chemiluminescent detection pipelines, and chromogenic IHC protocols.
