Anti-ACADS Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the short-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase enzyme encoded by the ACADS gene, a flavoenzyme located in the mitochondrial matrix that catalyzes the initial dehydrogenation step of C4 acyl-CoA substrates during fatty acid β-oxidation. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated 100 µl preparation, the antibody is validated for Western blot analysis of protein lysates and for immunohistochemistry on human tissue sections. It enables investigation of ACADS expression in the context of short-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (SCAD) deficiency, metabolic profiling of mitochondrial disorders, and broader studies of hepatic and skeletal muscle lipid catabolism in vitro.
