Anti-ACAA1 Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against ACAA1 (acetyl-CoA acyltransferase 1), a peroxisomal enzyme. The antibody is unconjugated and of IgG isotype, supplied as a liquid in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.3) with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. It was generated against a recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 27–300 of human ACAA1 (NP_001598.1) and purified by affinity chromatography.

Recommended western blot dilution is 1:500–1:2,000. The manufacturer's datasheet lists validated reactivity with human and rat samples, while the Antibodies.com product listing additionally lists mouse reactivity. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery, aliquot and store at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Independent protein databases place ACAA1 in peroxisomes with enriched expression in kidney and liver tissue and report a molecular weight of 44 kDa.
