ABL1 (c-ABL) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase involved in actin cytoskeleton remodeling, DNA damage signaling, and cell cycle control. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against the ABL1 target and is validated for Western blot across human, mouse, and rat samples. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, an anti-freeze formulation that allows storage at -20°C without the sample solidifying. In immunoblotting, it is used to detect the full-length ABL1 protein (~135 kDa) and to investigate BCR-ABL fusion events relevant to chronic myeloid leukemia research. The polyclonal format increases epitope coverage, which can be advantageous when probing for truncated, alternatively spliced, or chimeric kinase variants. For best results, aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light to maintain binding activity.
