Targets ABHD5, also known as CGI-58, a 349-amino-acid lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase coactivator that activates ATGL-mediated triglyceride lipolysis. ABHD5 loss-of-function mutations cause Chanarin-Dorfman syndrome, an inherited neutral lipid storage disorder, and this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com supports research into lipid droplet metabolism, hepatic steatosis, and ATGL pathway biology. Each vial supplies 200 µl of liquid stock validated for Western blot detection of endogenous ABHD5 migrating at the expected ~39 kDa band in mouse and rat tissue lysates. The unconjugated IgG format suits in-house HRP or fluorophore labeling workflows. For best results, store the antibody at -20°C in working aliquots, limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during handling. The reagent is intended for research use only and ships from Antibodies.com with lot-specific validation documentation, ready for immunoblotting of adipose, hepatic, muscle, or neuronal samples.
