Anti-ABCG2 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against ATP-binding cassette subfamily G member 2 (ABCG2), a ~72 kDa plasma membrane efflux transporter also known as BCRP1, CDw338, or MXR. The unconjugated antibody is provided as a 100 µl aliquot and has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA applications on human samples, where it detects the target band near 70-75 kDa in Western blots. ABCG2 functions as a broad-specificity xenobiotic efflux pump and is studied in multidrug-resistant cancer cell lines, in side-population identification of hematopoietic and cancer stem cells, and in work on drug transport across the blood-brain barrier, intestine, and placenta. As a polyclonal reagent, it binds multiple epitopes on the target protein, offering broader recognition of variants and partial degradation products than a monoclonal reagent. For routine handling, store the antibody frozen in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light.
