Raised in rabbit against the ABCC11 transporter, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG preparation from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot detection of the human target. ABCC11, also referred to as MRP8, is a member of the ATP-binding cassette transporter family and is of interest in studies of apocrine gland biology, breast cancer cell behavior, and cerumen type determination, where wet versus dry earwax phenotypes correlate with ABCC11 coding variants such as rs17822931.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum-ready liquid and is straightforward to dilute into standard Western blot protocols. Host species is rabbit; clonality is polyclonal; the antibody is unconjugated, with no fluorophore or enzyme tag attached, giving secondary-detection flexibility for chemiluminescent or near-infrared imaging workflows. Species reactivity is reported for human samples, and the reagent resolves both native and SDS-denatured ABCC11 protein on standard PAGE gels of the type used for Western blotting.

Investigators routinely apply this antibody to characterize ABCC11 expression in breast carcinoma cell lines, prostate tissue panels, and apocrine gland-derived samples, often alongside loading controls such as β-actin or GAPDH on the same blot. For reliable results, aliquot upon first use and store at -20 °C; short-term handling at 4 °C is suitable for active working stocks, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve antigen-binding activity across multiple experiments.
