ABCC1, also known as MRP1 (Multidrug Resistance-associated Protein 1), is a member of the ATP-binding cassette transporter family that exports xenobiotics and endogenous organic anions across plasma membranes. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against ABCC1 and validated for Western Blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. It is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot for detection of the native transporter in cell lysates as well as in formalin-fixed tissue sections.

MRP1 / ABCC1 is widely studied in oncology research, where its overexpression has been linked to chemoresistance in solid tumors, and in pharmacology workflows that probe drug efflux. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope recognition, which can be advantageous when probing denatured targets on membranes or when antigen availability is restricted in archived specimens. Researchers commonly apply this reagent to track expression changes in response to chemotherapeutic exposure, to map transporter distribution within tumor microenvironments, and to confirm knockdown or knockout efficiency in cell-based systems.

For Western Blot, working dilutions are commonly prepared in the 1:500 to 1:2000 range, while IHC protocols use 1:100 to 1:500 on paraffin-embedded sections following antigen retrieval. Store refrigerated; for long-term use, aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light. This is a research use only reagent, not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
