A polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against the human ABCA9 transporter, supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.3. ABCA9 belongs to the ATP-binding cassette subfamily A, a group of membrane-spanning proteins that traffic lipids and related substrates across biological membranes. The unconjugated primary antibody has been validated for western blot detection in human and rat samples, giving researchers a tool for comparative work across these two species. Typical applications include studies of lipid homeostasis, macrophage lipid handling, and cardiovascular disease models, where ABCA9 expression patterns are tracked in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Polyclonal recognition means the reagent binds multiple epitopes along the transporter, a useful feature when probing denatured target protein in western blot workflows. The antibody solution should be kept refrigerated and protected from light, with aliquoting recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles on the working stock.
