Anti-ABAT Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified against a recombinant human ABAT immunogen, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is designed for the detection of endogenous ABAT protein in western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry / immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) workflows. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. Polyclonal reactivity is confirmed against human, mouse and rat samples, giving broad coverage across standard mammalian model systems, while the unconjugated format lets users pair the reagent with their own choice of secondary label. It specifically recognises total ABAT (4-aminobutyrate aminotransferase, mitochondrial; EC2.6.1.22; also known as GABA-T, GABA-AT, GABAT and L-AIBAT) at its endogenous expression level, making it a useful marker for studies of GABA metabolism and Purkinje cell biology.
