Used in western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, this Anti-AARS polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit IgG raised against alanyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS1), the cytoplasmic ligase that charges tRNA-Ala with alanine during translation. Supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl vial, the reagent detects endogenous AARS protein across human, mouse, and rat samples.

AARS is broadly expressed in the nervous system, where pathogenic variants underlie Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2N (CMT2N), early-infantile epileptic encephalopathy, and hypomyelinating leukoencephalopathy with developmental delay. Researchers studying aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase biology, tRNA charging mechanisms, or these neurodevelopmental disorders apply this antibody to probe AARS levels in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

For western blot, aliquot the antibody into working volumes and store frozen at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles; avoid repeated thawing of the stock. For immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections, standard antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is commonly used. The vial is shipped refrigerated on blue ice; long-term storage of aliquots remains frozen.
