Anti-AANAT Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets arylalkylamine N-acetyltransferase (AANAT), the rate-limiting enzyme in the melatonin biosynthesis pathway that converts serotonin to N-acetylserotonin. The reagent is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen corresponding to residues in human AANAT, yielding >95% purity by SDS-PAGE, and is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, this AANAT pAb detects endogenous levels of the ~23 kDa AANAT protein specifically in human and rat samples.
