This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets AAAS (Aladin), a WD-repeat nuclear pore complex protein encoded by the AAAS gene on chromosome 12q13. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated in a 100 µL vial, the antibody is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows against human samples. AAAS localizes primarily to the nuclear envelope, where it functions as a component of the nuclear pore complex and supports proper nucleocytoplasmic transport; loss-of-function variants in AAAS are the established molecular cause of Triple A syndrome (Allgrove syndrome), a disorder characterized by achalasia, alacrima, and adrenal insufficiency.

Researchers studying nuclear envelope integrity, nucleoporin assembly, or the molecular pathogenesis of Triple A syndrome can apply this antibody to detect endogenous Aladin in cell lysates by Western blot or to visualize its subcellular distribution by immunofluorescence. For optimal preservation of activity, the reagent should be stored refrigerated and protected from light; small aliquots are recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and to minimize degradation across multiple experiments.
