The polyclonal antibody targets the A1BG protein, a secreted glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily that circulates in human blood. First characterized decades ago, A1BG has attracted renewed research interest as a candidate biomarker in studies of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and several other solid tumors, where altered expression levels have been reported between tumor and matched normal tissue.

This reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) detection and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work across rodent disease models and patient-derived material. The 50 µl vial format suits small-scale validation experiments, while the absence of a conjugated reporter allows users to pair the antibody with their own secondary detection system, including HRP, fluorescent, or biotin-streptavidin chemistries.

Each lot is supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody for research use only. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal clone when probing A1BG expression in tissue lysates, cell culture extracts, or conditioned medium from transfected cell lines.
