Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific peptide chromatography, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL aliquot and is intended for the detection of endogenous α-Synuclein in human, mouse and rat samples. The immunogen corresponds to the peptide sequence surrounding amino acids 131–135 (E-G-Y-Q-D) of human α-Synuclein, allowing the antibody to recognise the total Synuclein protein pool. Recommended applications include Western blotting at a working dilution of 1:500–1:1000 and immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) at 1:100–1:200, with a predicted band at approximately 18 kDa that has been demonstrated on extracts and methanol-fixed HeLa cells. The antibody is formulated in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with no Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺ added, and is shipped at 4 °C; for long-term stability it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
