Anti-α-SMA Antibody

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent is raised against a synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by epitope-specific affinity chromatography. Presented as an unconjugated liquid at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide, the antibody is offered in a 50 µL format and detects endogenous levels of α-SMA protein across a broad panel of assays, including ELISA, Western Blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). It has been validated for reactivity with human, mouse and rat samples, making it well suited to cross-species studies in vascular biology, fibrosis research and smooth-muscle cell characterization.
