This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes 4E-BP1 phosphorylated at serine 65, a key regulatory site controlled by mTORC1 kinase activity. Phosphorylation at S65 disrupts the 4E-BP1/eIF4E interaction and releases translational repression, making the phospho-S65 epitope a widely used indicator of mTOR pathway activation in studies of cell growth, autophagy, metabolic disease, and tumor biology.

Supplied as 100 µl of purified IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is unconjugated and validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue. It reacts with human, mouse, and rat 4E-BP1, supporting comparative work across standard laboratory model systems.

For long-term stability, the antibody should be stored frozen at -20°C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the sodium azide in the formulation should be considered when planning downstream assays. For research use only.
