Raised in rabbits and affinity-purified by epitope-specific peptide chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E-binding protein 1 at a region surrounding residues 34–38 (S-T-T-P-G) of the human sequence. It is supplied as an unconjugated liquid at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in 50 µL volumes, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The antibody recognizes the endogenous total4E-BP1 protein and is validated for Western blotting at a typical dilution of 1:500–1:1000 and for immunohistochemistry at 1:50–1:100, making it suitable for both denaturing lysate assays and fixed-section staining workflows. Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse and rat samples, supporting cross-species use in standard laboratory models. For handling, vials are shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon receipt for storage at –20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Each lot is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide–KLH conjugate, ensuring consistent batch-to-batch recognition of the native epitope. This makes the reagent a reliable choice for researchers investigating mTORC1-regulated translational control, where phosphorylation status of 4E-BP1 is a key readout. The combination of polyclonal breadth, broad species reactivity and a robust buffer system allows flexibility across diverse experimental designs in cell signalling and cancer biology research.
