From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the epsilon isoform of the 14-3-3 adapter protein family, encoded by the YWHAE gene. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol as cryoprotectant, and is unconjugated for flexible downstream labeling workflows.

14-3-3ε participates in phosphoserine and phosphothreonine recognition, linking phosphorylated substrates to signaling cascades that govern cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and neuronal migration. The epsilon isoform is a focus of neurodevelopmental research because copy-number variation at the 17q13.3 locus, which harbours YWHAE, has been associated with lissencephaly presenting with abnormal genitourinary and craniofacial features. In oncology, altered 14-3-3ε expression contributes to proliferative and survival signaling in several tumour types, making the protein a useful marker in studies of tumour biology and drug response.

Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), supporting detection across human, mouse, and rat sample backgrounds. The polyclonal format recognises multiple epitopes on the target, which is useful when mapping isoform-specific distribution in tissue sections and cultured cell preparations, and when comparing expression levels between normal and diseased specimens.

For research use only. Store aliquots refrigerated and protect from light; minimise freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity over the working shelf life of the glycerol-containing formulation.
