Description

Antibodies.com offers a rabbit polyclonal primary antibody raised against β-catenin phosphorylated at tyrosine 333. The reagent is unconjugated and validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), with reactivity demonstrated against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

Specificity is restricted to endogenous β-catenin only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 333. This selectivity is achieved by immunising rabbits with a synthetic phosphopeptide–KLH conjugate corresponding to the sequence around the Tyr333 site (Y-T-Y(p)-E-K, derived from human β-catenin), followed by affinity chromatography against the epitope-specific phosphopeptide and removal of non-phospho-specific antibodies. The antibody is supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The predicted molecular weight of the target is 92 kDa.

For Western blotting, a working dilution of 1:500–1:1000 is recommended. The product is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
