Anti-α-SMA Antibody

Listed in the Primary Antibodies range from Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody targets α-SMA. It is validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF), with reactivity confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples.

According to the manufacturer, the antibody was raised against recombinant full-length human α-SMA and detects endogenous levels of actin, aortic smooth muscle protein. The target is observed at approximately 45 kDa. The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

The reagent has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen, with reported purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
