AllTaq PCR Core Kit (250 u)

QIAGEN offers a hot-start PCR core kit built around the AllTaq DNA Polymerase, a modified recombinant 94 kDa enzyme originally isolated from Thermus aquaticus. An antibody and a guard additive keep the polymerase inactive at ambient temperature, eliminating non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation. The enzyme is fully activated by a 2-minute 95°C or 3-minute 93°C incubation step. According to the manufacturer, the kits can reliably detect as low as a single target molecule.

The kit comprises AllTaq DNA Polymerase, AllTaq PCR Buffer (5x) containing Tris·HCl, KCl, NH4SO4, MgCl2 and additives for fast cycling and direct gel loading, Q-Solution (5x) for difficult or GC-rich templates, a dNTP Mix at 10 mM each, MgCl2 at 25 mM, PCR Template Tracer (25x, blue) and PCR Master Mix Tracer (125x, orange) for visual pipetting control, RNase-Free Water, and a Quick-Start Protocol. When the blue template is added to the orange master mix, the colour shifts to green, confirming sample addition. After setup, reactions remain stable at room temperature for more than 3 days.

Shipped on dry ice, the kit is stored at –15 to –30°C. It is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease.
