AllTaq Master Mix Kit (500)

A ready-to-use, 4x-concentrated master mix from QIAGEN, this kit delivers highly sensitive and specific hot-start PCR using any DNA or cDNA template. The formulation supports ultrafast cycling in approximately 45 minutes using the same protocol across standard PCR, duplex PCR, and long targets up to 9 kb.

A guard-protected hot-start mechanism keeps the DNA polymerase inactive at low temperatures, allowing complete reaction setup at room temperature without ice and supporting automated pipetting; the enzyme is fully activated after a 2-minute incubation at 95 °C, eliminating extension from nonspecifically annealed primers and primer–dimers. The buffer system provides stringent primer-annealing conditions over a wide annealing temperature range, with no optimization of annealing temperature or Mg²⁺ concentration required.

Optional orange Master Mix Tracer and blue Template Tracer offer visual pipetting control: when blue-dyed template is added to the orange master mix, the color changes to green, confirming correct sample addition. Reactions can be loaded directly onto agarose gels after cycling, with the dyes running at approximately 50 bp (orange) and 4000 bp (blue) on a 1% agarose gel. The master mix is stable at 2–8 °C for up to 6 months, and samples may be left at room temperature for more than 3 days before cycling.
